INAE has taken an initiative of organizing an annual mega event of engineers as “Engineers Conclave” starting from the year 2013, which is being organized jointly by INAE with Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Department of Space (DoS), Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and other major engineering institutions, on rotation basis, each year. Each conclave has two themes, one specific to the host department and other specific to some social problem where engineering intervention is desired. These two issues are focused from point of view of finding engineering solutions and specific recommendations are formulated for action by the concerned government department and industry. The Conclave provides a forum to discuss important national issues with respect to development in engineering science and technology, addressing policy issues for growth, requirement of faster pace of development, human resources etc. Engineers Conclave has tangible delivery in suggesting possible engineering solutions to the policy makers of the country.

The aim of the symposium was to bring together young and outstanding engineering professionals (aged~30-45 years) from the industry, universities, and research organizations to deliberate upon emerging and leading-edge research and development work in the domain of engineering and technology. Convening engineering professionals and technologists from various fields were provided a platform for brainstorming the contemporary and futuristic issues related to frontiers areas cross-disciplinary translational research and innovation. The overall purpose of the symposium was to interact and achieve synergy at distinctive scientific levels through presentations and discussions.
INAE Youth Conclave aims at facilitating the engagement of Indian youth in engineering activities at national level. Several competitive technical activities / projects are planned to bring out the technical approach of young minds to national problems. They are also involved in debates and discussion with eminent engineers so that engineering ideas shape up to meaningful solutions.
INAE through the creation of Youth Forum desires to extend the membership to young budding engineers thereby endorsing their talent and advocating their ability to contribute meaningfully to the development of the country.
INAE organizes its Annual Convention every year, during the month of December. The Convention of the Academy is a mega event attended by Fellows, Foreign Fellows, Young Associates, Awardees and Invitees. The Convention commences with the Inaugural Function wherein the Chief Guest and President, INAE deliver their address. Eminent Engineers from Industry are inducted as Fellows of INAE in a Special Induction Ceremony. The event features several important meetings wherein INAE Fellows participate such as the Governing Council Meeting, Annual General Meeting and Special General Meeting of Fellows. Newly elected Fellows, Foreign Fellows and Young Associates of INAE are inducted during the Annual General Meeting, which also features a Brainstorming Session. The Grand Award Function held during the event, features presentation of awards from student project level to felicitation of the senior distinguished engineering experts as INAE Life Time Contribution in Engineering Awardees. The Annual Convention provides a golden opportunity for networking amongst Fellows, Young Associates and Awardees and is a memorable event eagerly awaited by all concerned every year

INAE LOCAL CHAPTER EVENTS
INAE Local Chapters are formed to enhance outreach of INAE to Engineering fraternity. Local chapter activities have inter linkages with other local Academies, learned Societies, R&D, Universities, Industry and others for meaningful participation between these Institutions and the Indian National Academy of Engineering. The Chapters take up issues of specific concern of local interest and organize workshops, lectures, symposia etc. appointing special Committees and/or Groups of experts to carry out related activities.
Many events are organized by Local Chapters to imbibe involvement of eminent engineers in issues of National Interest.
